THE TEAM & ROLE
As part of the CSS Platform Foundation Team you'll have an important role to keep improving our technical platform. You'll be working with Linux administration, configuration management, setup of the infrastructure and support to the developers to make sure they have all the tools they need. You'll get full access to all systems from day 1 and have a shared responsibility for the operation together with your colleagues and the rest of the team.
The team consists of both System and DevOps Engineers and you will be working closely together to keep improving the automation of infrastructure to make sure developers can create, scale and tweak infrastructure in a timely manner. We are working actively to ensure that every piece of infrastructure we create both in the Datacenter and in AWS should be setup with the Infrastructure as Code.
You will also be involved in the implementation of a micro-services architecture with emphasis on continuous deployment and automation together with the platform and development teams.
You'll be working in a extremely stable system, even if things happen all the time. The role includes that you'll be part of the on-call schedule once every fifth week to make sure our systems is up 24/7.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in technology and a positive drive with the desire to constantly learn new things. Infrastructure as Code should be something that you think is very important and you should work with the philosophy that everything that can be automated should be automated. You are a talented Linux Engineer and have good analytical abilities and rise for the challenge when problems occur who want to help us take our technical platform to the next level.
We are looking for you who have at least 2 years of experience in:
- Linux (rhel, CentOS)
- Virtualization (KVM, VMware)
- Configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Salt)
- Monitoring and troubleshooting
Meritorious if you also have experience in:
- Hashicorp stack (Consul, Nomad, Vault, Terraform)
- Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Webservers (HAproxy, Nginx, Apache)
- Databases (Postgres, Mongodb, Mysql)
- Programming experience
