If you thrive in an innovative, agile environment where you have the opportunity to make a true impact – both technically and strategically – this could be the right role for you.
We are looking for a skilled and driven Cloud Engineer to join a fast-growing AI scale-up. If you thrive in an innovative, agile environment where you have the opportunity to make a true impact – both technically and strategically – this could be the right role for you.
About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, operating, and optimizing the company’s cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with development, ML/AI research, and product teams to ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and cost-efficient. The position combines hands-on responsibilities with strategic work – from infrastructure architecture to operations and monitoring.
You will be part of a small but growing tech team, expected to take ownership, drive improvements, and contribute to how the platform is built and maintained.
What you will be doing
- Design and implement cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) supporting AI workflows and ML services
- Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery
- Monitor performance, conduct capacity planning, and optimize costs
- Automate infrastructure and deployment processes (Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD)
- Set up and maintain security and access controls, networking, and policies in the cloud
- Collaborate with the ML team to ensure models run efficiently and at scale
- Drive and contribute to cross-functional initiatives for architecture, operations, and infrastructure standards
We believe you have
- A relevant degree in computer science, engineering, or similar – or equivalent professional experience
- Several years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role, ideally with exposure to AI/ML infrastructure
- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform/CloudFormation
- Solid knowledge of networking, security, and operations in cloud environments
- Proven track record of optimizing cost and performance in the cloud
- An analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and comfort working in fast-changing environments
- Fluent communication skills in English
It’s a plus if you have experience from a fast-paced environment, SaaS, or project-based business models.
What we offer
- A key role in an AI scale-up where you will influence technology choices and cloud architecture
- An agile, collaborative, and open culture that values innovation and continuous learning
- Flexible ways of working – both remote and office, with a hybrid setup possible
- Strong opportunities for growth – both technically and professionally, with the potential to move into senior roles
- Benefits such as wellness allowance, professional development budget, and the right tools to stay ahead in your field
Location
The company is based in Stockholm, but applies a flexible working model with hybrid/remote options. Occasional on-site collaboration is expected a few days per month.
